St. Francis School "Top of the Top AR" in their prospective class

The top readers for St. Francis School are students who have read and earned more points than fellow classmates on Accelerated Reading tests for the first nine weeks of school. These readers were rewarded with a Pizza Party for their effort.
Books read must also be within the student’s reading zone, which typically is more challenging as the students grade level goes forward.
Additionally one student, fifth-grader Madisun LaCombe, has reached the one million words mark for the 2013-2014 school year.
The classes at St. Francis Elementary competed against their nearest grade level to see which class could earn the most Accelerated Reading points determined by percentage for each nine weeks. The winning classes for the first nine weeks were Mrs. Richard’s fourth graders, Mrs. Viguerie’s fifth graders, and Mrs. Shreve’s eight-graders.
