Central Middle School Student of the Year named
Bailey Nichole Trichell named Central Middle School Student of the Year. The honor was announced to the student body earlier this past week.
Trichell, a fifth-grader at Central Middle, arrives from Glendale Elementary where she maintained honor roll, earning all “A’s” in all subjects.
She is currently an honor roll student at Central Middle.
The middle school selects its Student of the Year by following a certain criteria, which includes a 3.5 or above cumulative GPA, personal participation at school, displays proficient writing skills, and participation in an interview by committee members at the school. Trichell was chosen out of six Student of the Year nominees.
Trichell will now have the opportunity to participate at the parish level at a later date.
At Glendale Elementary, Trichell participated and competed at the parish writing and math competitions, awarded the Citizenship Award, a participant of the VFW Post Americanism contest, and scored Advanced on all subjects of the LEAP test. She also earned a perfect score on the ELA part of LEAP.
At Central Middle, Trichell is an All-Stars Club member which involves students to become more involved in community services.
At home she enjoys hunting, and riding 4-wheelers.
Trichell is the daughter of Joey and Jamie Trichell. She is the oldest of one sibling, a brother Brennan, and one -on-the way. “My mom is expecting. Its a boy. She is due in February. I was hoping to have a little sister!”
The Trichells are members of New Hope Fellowship Church in Eunice.
